Additional Guests (3rd or 4th person sharing a cabin) $220.00 per person, per night + 3% tax and $3.50 port fee – no additional charge for one night only. Rates include lodging, round-trip water taxi to Orca Island from Seward (9 mile cruise), use of kayaks, rowing skiffs and stand-up paddle boards, wet suits, fishing gear, binoculars and firewood for outdoor fire pits. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Water Taxi: Orca Island Cabins provides its own water-taxi service to Orca Island for its overnight guests. The 1 hour cruise from the Seward Small Boat Harbor to Orca Island is itself a scenic wildlife cruise with many photo opportunities.  Guests arriving at Orca Island Cabins must be available for pick up from Seward at 1:00pm, if we need to run a later departure that day, guests will be notified at the time of booking.

Because we cannot guarantee returning to Seward earlier than 12:30 PM on the day of their return from the island, guests should be careful in scheduling early departure flights out of Anchorage (2.5 hour drive from Seward) or bookings with independent tours, i.e. allow adequate time for such commitments. We ask that guests advise Orca Island staff of scheduled early flight departures or bookings with independent tours at the time of their booking to avoid scheduling conflicts. Departure times from Orca Island Cabins are confirmed at check-in.

Reservations are recommended in advance. Call (907) 362-9014 or Make a Reservation

NOTE: Rates DO NOT include Food and Beverage or gratuities for Staff. By design, all cabins have complete kitchens with oven/ranges, ice chests and a barbecue on each cabin’s private deck. Guests need to bring their food and beverage of choice (and ice) and dine in style – “glamping at its best”. See FAQ’s for additional information on food and beverage.

BAY CRUISE (2 hrs.): $75 per person (4 person minimum): Leaves from Orca Island; departure times are flexible.

KENAI FJORDS NATIONAL PARK CRUISE (6 hrs.): Leaves from Seward Harbor at 11:30AM from $159.00 per person.  Some cruises offer and optional Salmon & Prime Rib Feast for an additional $19.00 per person. We can arrange this cruise for our guests for either a date prior to their stay with us, or for the date they return from Orca Island Cabins.  Guests booked through Orca Island Cabins will have their return water taxi scheduled with ample time to meet their tour.   The cruise into the Kenai Fjords National Park is highly recommended – view whales, glaciers, bird rookeries (horned and tufted puffins) and much more.

ALASKA FISHING CHARTERS: Fishing charters must be booked independently by guests.

Although one night reservations are accepted, we recommend a minimum stay of 2 nights. A longer stay affords you more opportunity to embrace the beauty and serenity of Orca Island and its surroundings. It should be noted that many guests who have reserved only one night on Orca Island have, upon seeing the island, its surroundings and their accommodations, expressed regret that they did not reserve additional nights.

Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to reserved date(s) will receive a full refund less $50.00 processing fee per cabin rental. Cancellations made 30 days or more (but less than 60 days) prior to reserved date(s) will receive a refund less one night’s rental per cabin. Cancellations made within 30 days of reserved date(s) are non-refundable. Our cancellation policy is based on our operational limitations here in Alaska – reservations are often made well in advance, a very short (90 days) summer tourism season, and extreme difficulty in obtaining substitute reservations on short notice. Recognizing that our guests may encounter unanticipated circumstances that may necessitate a change in their travel plans, sometimes requiring them to cancel their reservations, we suggest that vacation cancellation insurance be purchased.

No pets. No smoking inside cabins.

Orca Island Cabins welcomes and encourages younger guests to experience and enjoy the unique wilderness setting we have to offer. However, due to safety issues primarily involving the rugged and steep coastline of Orca Island, slippery rocks, the elevated cabin decks and their proximity to the shoreline, and the cold ocean waters surrounding the island, only children 12 and older are permitted. It has been our experience, during our initial years of operation, that younger children found it difficult to navigate the island safely and the resulting frustration and stress on both the children and parents, who simply could not oversee their younger children throughout their stay, detracted from their overall experience. In addition, the peace and tranquility generally enjoyed by our adult guests on the island can, and has been, undermined in those situations. For these reasons, children must be 12 years of age or older to overnight on the island. In addition, parents are requested to encourage, in children visiting the island, a demeanor consistent with the peaceful and tranquil nature of the island surroundings which is very special and much appreciated by everyone. Guests renting all 8 cabins on the island may bring children of any age.
